The Privacy, Data Security and Information Technology Litigation Committee is composed of attorneys who are interested in advancing member knowledge, through CLEs, articles and reports, about privacy and data security litigation. The Committee’s purview includes appropriate security policies, responses to security and data breaches and the litigation ensuing from such events. The Committee’s work also covers how domestic and international privacy statutes and regulations affect the use of data in litigation. The Committee also strives to enhance member familiarity with topics such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, biometrics, geolocation data, data mapping, cross-border discovery and blockchain, and, more specifically, the presentation and resolution of disputes concerning such technologies, and the resolution of disputes related to such technologies. Finally, the Committee covers internet governance disputes, platform liability and immunities, and domain name disputes.
