NYSBA Webinar Explores Mandatory Vaccination Mandates
8.31.2021
The New York State Bar Association will conduct a webinar “Mandating Your Employees Get Vaccinated? What New York Lawyers Need To Know” on Friday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine last week, a growing number of public and private sector employers have announced vaccine mandates. A report approved Friday, Aug. 27 by NYSBA’s Executive Committee called on all New York employers to require all employees be vaccinated, except for those with legitimate medical reasons or religious concerns.
The webinar will address vaccine mandates from both the employee and employer perspective and sample policies that could be considered for workplaces that have not yet instituted one. Michael Passarella, a partner at Olshan and member of the NYSBA Emergency Task Force on Mandatory Vaccination and Safeguarding the Public’s Health, will be the featured speaker.
This program is sponsored by the Health Law, Business Law, Corporate Counsel, Local and State Government Law, and Labor and Employment Law sections, and the Law Practice Management Committee.
