Special Education Committee

Description: The Special Education Committee provides information to the Section members on topics including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and how the practice of special education law interrelates with elder law and special needs planning. Our mission is to provide a resource to the membership and educate it on the importance of providing appropriate special education services to students with disabilities and support to the families of children with disabilities. The Committee intends to also provide guidance on special education regulations to members of the Section via teleconference and in-person meetings, CLE’s, articles in the Journal and other initiatives including pro-bono clinics and presentations.
