The Task Force on Free Expression in the Digital Age will examine how free expression has evolved in the digital age and, in particular, how the law has impacted – and can impact – this evolution. Each year, the Task Force will identify within the broader topic a single issue to examine in-depth over the course of a year. The Task Force’s paramount goal is to educate both the legal community and public through the annual examinations. Among other things, the Task Force intends to hold public hearings and open meetings; encourage the participation of local journalists, media organizations, academics, law students, and the bench and bar in committee programs and activities; and make recommendations regarding potential changes in the law and public policy.
