This committee tracks developments in the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the State Environmental Conservation Law (Article 27, Title 7) and the solid waste management regulations in 6 NYCRR Part 360 et seq.. The committee also focuses on laws and regulations involving electronic waste and recyclables. Our purpose is to inform members about the implementation of these laws, prepare draft comments on legislative and regulatory proposals, and, when appropriate, advance solid waste and recyclable policy initiatives on behalf of the State Bar Association. The Committee welcomes all members with an interest in the regulation and management of solid waste and recyclables.
