Tax Committee (International)

The Mission of the Tax Committee is to facilitate the exchange of information among international tax lawyers and other interested Section members, including updates on international tax developments,such as noteworthy judicial decisions, tax treaty revisions, the OECD BEPS initiative and other relevant information, with the goal of promoting professional development for members of the NYSBA through participation in International Section Activities.

Mission-Related Activities

The Tax Committee of the International Section seeks to: 1. Participate in the Section’s Annual Meeting in January and its annual Seasonal Meeting.2.Organize and provide speakers for a tax panel at the annual Seasonal Meeting. 3.Conduct Committee meetings to discuss current international tax developments and provide CLE programs on subjects of international tax law.4.Participate in activities, and exchanges of information regarding international tax law and developments with interested parties, such as members of the IS, Tax Section, other NYSBA Sections and other organizations such as the ABA Tax Section and International Section, the UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats) and the International Fiscal Association.
