August 20, 2018: State Bar Association’s ‘Miranda Warnings’ Podcast Provides Forum for Informed Understanding
8.20.2018
Join David P. Miranda, former New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) president and current partner at the intellectual property law firm Heslin, Rothenberg, Farley and Mesiti as he and his guests discuss all things legal – and some that are not — in the 10-episode first season of NYSBA’s Miranda Warnings podcast.
Featured guests include current NYSBA President Michael Miller and President-elect Henry ‘Hank’ Greenberg as well as award-winning Albany journalist Ken Screven.
“The mission of Miranda Warnings is to have a 20-30 minute deep dive on a topic, offering listeners with an informed understanding of an issue or event,” said Miranda. “Season One is an eclectic mix of law related and generally important topics that we all should know more about, all from interesting guests with great stories to tell.”
Season One deep dives include discussions on issues ranging from recounting first-hand experiences supervising Bosnian elections, to discussing the history of how NYSBA’s historical home office came to be, and the overcoming of prejudice and bigotry in the newsroom. The podcast seeks to cut through all the salacious headlines, tantalizing tweets, and phony news stories to allow discussions, debates, and an overall better understanding of the issues of our time.
“I am grateful to our guests for sharing their experience, knowledge and stories, making us all better informed,” said Miranda. “It’s my duty to advise you that you have the right to keep listening!”
