The mission of the Internet & Technology Law Committee is to inform the bar of emerging developments of Intellectual Property Law pertaining to the Internet and related computer networks. The rapid growth of the Internet as a means of conducting commerce, providing information, and delivering audio-visual works, make the Internet fertile ground for issues concerning trademark, copyright, patents, trade secrets and related legal issues involving the creation and protection of intellectual property (such as publicity and database laws). The Committee shall study and investigate the development of the law in this area locally, nationally and internationally, and report to the Section through newsletters, bulletins and seminar programs.
