NYSBA CLE Programs Pivot To Webinars During Coronavirus Shutdown
3.18.2020
The New York State Bar Association has switched almost all its Continuing Legal Education programs online through the end of April to comply with state and local restrictions on the number of persons gathering in one place.
NYSBA will continue to provide valuable programs on topics like artificial intelligence, facial recognition and automated vehicle technology.
Members can also expect CLE Programs on the ever-changing coronavirus pandemic. Programs will cover issues such as cyber protection for remote workers, re-examination of contract clauses in light of coronavirus and the impact of coronavirus on immigration policies and procedures in the United States, Canada and Italy.
Additionally, the New York State CLE Board is now allowing newly admitted attorneys to participate in Skills CLE courses via web conference, teleconference or videoconference.
This new rule applies to NYSBA’s upcoming Bridging the Gap: March 2020, where newly admitted attorneys can satisfy all their annual MCLE requirements by attending the two-day program.
