Scott M. Karson, president of the New York State Bar Association, issued the following statement on the decision by the New York Court of Appeals to allow law school graduates who want to practice in New York to take the online bar exam Oct. 5 and 6 in New York or 9other jurisdictions. The reciprocity agreements give students who want to practice in New York much more flexibility.

“With the hardship and uncertainty already faced by this class, the New York State Bar Association applauds all efforts to make life easier for these graduates while still being sure that they demonstrate the competency to practice law.”
