THE HONORABLE JUDITH S. KAYE COMMERCIAL AND FEDERAL LITIGATION SCHOLARSHIP
Next round of scholarship awards will be made in 2023.
The Commercial and Federal Litigation Section is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for its 2023 Honorable Judith Kaye Commercial and Federal Litigation Scholarship, which has been established by the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). The scholarship(s) will be awarded to up to five female litigators and will cover the cost of their registration at a future session of the Commercial Litigation Academy. The goal of the Scholarship is help increase the number of women prepared to serve as first chair in large commercial cases. The Commercial Litigation Academy is sponsored by the NYSBA and the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section. The “Kaye Scholars” are announced at the Section’s Annual Meeting in New York City.
Each “Kaye Scholar” are presented with her award during a program that will take place in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the Southern District of New York in conjunction with the presentation of the Shira A. Scheindlin Award for Excellence in the Courtroom to female litigators who have had distinguished career in the courtroom in either the Federal or State Courts in New York and who have shown a commitment to mentoring young attorneys.
